Cougs boffo at box office!

WASHINGTON STATE is experiencing a record surge at the ticket window. Season ticket sales, already at an all-time high, continue at a brisk pace. Some are still available, but if you plan on making a purchase -- for the season or just single games -- the time to act is now. As far as the numbers -- how many tickets remain available for the games in Pullman and the Colorado game in Seattle -- read on!

As of Monday, season ticket sales -- not including the ones sold to students -- totaled 14,451. That eclipses the previous high, set this past season, of 12,815.

With three consecutive 10-win seasons serving as the defacto marketing campaign from heaven, WSU is selling season tickets at a rate of 15 to 20 a day -- an unprecedented pace for mid-summer. WSU officials note that there are still season packages available, but space is becoming limited.

Single-game tickets went on sale a week ago and the phones have been ringing off the hooks.

The Apple Cup is nearly sold out and no more than 4,000 seats are available for any other Pullman game.

Nearly 40,000 tickets have been purchased for the Colorado game in Qwest Stadium in Seattle on Sept. 11. A substantial amount of the advertising for this game hits this week, so according to our watch, sales for this game should start jump starting .... NOW! The stadium holds about 70,000.
