Will DB follow Hall to Pullman?

Cornerback Robert Peele, a 5-11, 180-pounder from the same Fresno high school as Arkleon Hall, an early verbal commit to Washington State, says Cal leads slightly over WSU, Arizona, Oregon and Oregon State. UCLA also has offered.

"Cal was the first school to offer and I have to take that into consideration. I also like coach (J.D.) Williams (DBs) a lot," says Peele, of Fresno Edison. "They're a high ranked team this year in competition but I still don't know too much about their program.

"Arizona's coach (Mike) Stoops gives it to me real whenever I talk to him. They're a rebuilding team trying to get to the top with some new coaches. They like me and want me to come and play for them. I'd say they've been recruiting me the hardest.

"Oregon is close to home and their program competes at a high level. I don't know too much about their defense because I haven't had any time to watch them.

"Oregon State has a good defense with some CBs that play very physical which is what I like to do. I saw this especially during the game they played versus LSU last week. They have a young CBs coach (Nigel Burton) who could work with me. I think I'd be a great fit there especially when we scrimmage.

"I don't know too much about Washington State other than the fact that they're recruiting me."

Peele says he'll officially visit Cal for sure so far, yet has no date.
