NFL Cougar Roundup, 11/14

CAROLINA linebacker Mark Fields continued his remarkable comeback to the NFL with another solid performance on Sunday. Fields—who missed last season after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease—returned an interception 14 yards to the one-yard line, setting up the Panthers' go-ahead score in their 37-27 victory against San Francisco.

On the play prior to his interception, Fields appeared to have scored on a fumble return, but the 49er runner was ruled down prior to the ball coming loose.

The 1994 Pac-10 defensive player of the year is just six months removed from chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
