NFL Cougar Highlights, 1/2

WHILE THE SEASON officially came to an end for the majority of the NFL Cougars on Sunday, five Washington State greats—<b>Erik Coleman, Jason David, Robbie Tobeck, Marcus Trufant</b>, and <b>Cory Withrow</b>—are playoff-bound. Find out how they and the rest of the Crimson Soldiers in the National Football League fared in their final contests of the regular season.

D.D. Acholonu, LB, Houston: Signed off the practice squad, but made inactive for the season finale on Friday for unknown reasons.

Drew Bledsoe, QB, Buffalo: Completed 16 of 30 passes for 189 yards and one interception. Also ran the ball once for no gain during 29-24 loss to the Steelers.

Erik Coleman, S, New York Jets: Tallied seven solo tackles, defensed one pass, and one interception (for a one yard return) in 32-29 loss to St. Louis.

Devard Darling, WR, Baltimore: Did not play: Injured reserve (heel).

James Darling, LB, Arizona: Made seven solo stops in 12-7 win against the Buccaneers.

Jason David, CB, Indianapolis: Defensed four passes, made two solo tackles and assisted on two more in 33-14 loss to Denver.

Mark Fields, LB, Carolina: Recorded eight solo tackles—including one sack for a two yard loss—and assisted on another in 21-18 loss to the Saints.

Steve Gleason, S, New Orleans: No stats from 21-18 victory against Carolina.

Jason Hanson, K, Detroit: Perfect on one extra point attempt and two field goal tries (both from 26 yards) in 24-19 loss to the Titans.

Joey Hollenbeck, C, Seattle: Did not play: Practice squad.

Rian Lindell, K, Buffalo: Perfect on three extra point attempts and connected on one of two field goal attempts. He missed a 28 yarder, but hitting from 37 in 29-24 fall to Pittsburgh.

Rien Long, DT, Tennessee: Notched one solo tackle in 24-19 win against the Lions.

Rob Meier, DE, Jacksonville:Did not play: Injured reserve; broken fibula.

Jonathan Smith, RB, Kansas City: Did not play: Re-signed to practice squad last week.

Raonall Smith, LB, Minnesota: Did not play: Injured reserve due to concussions suffered earlier this season.

Lamont Thompson, S, Tennessee: Made one solo stop and assisted on two more in 24-19 victory against Detroit.

Robbie Tobeck, C, Seattle: Started in 28-26 win against the Falcons.

Marcus Trufant, CB, Seattle: Returned an interception 31 yards, defensed two passes, tallied four solo stops and assisted in two others during 28-26 win against Atlanta.

Brian Walker, S, Detroit: Did not play: Injured reserve.

Cory Withrow, C, Minnesota: No stats from 21-18 loss to the Redskins.
