Cougars Fall Camp primer

THE FALL CAMP schedule reveals it's time for the Cougar Nation to begin in earnest to gear up for the 2006 season. The calendar may say July, but Day One of Washington State's fall practice session is less than two weeks away. Some crimson dates and info to keep in mind.

Led by the team captains; seniors Jason Hill, Mkristo Bruce and Scott Davis, and junior Alex Brink, the sights and sounds of fall camp and the Cougar Football season are just around the corner.

A smattering of key dates to get you primed:

The first day of fall camp practice is slated for Sunday Aug 6 with a late afternoon, helmets-only session.

The first padded practice is set for Aug 8, while the Cougs begin two-a-days on Aug 11.

The following day -- August 12 -- the Cougs will hold their first scrimmage.

Scrimmage No. 2 gets underway Aug 16, with the third scrimmage scheduled for Aug 19.
