The draft was barely wrapped-up, however, when one of Brink's favorite targets, receiver Michael Bumpus, agreed to terms with the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent.

Elsewhere, the Minnesota Vikings announced free agent terms had been reached with Cougar safety Husain Abdullah, projected by most draft gurus as the only other Wazzu player--along with Brink-- to be a potential late-round selection.

Brink's selection keeps the WSU streak of having at least player drafted going at 14 years. No Cougs were selected in 1994, but five players signed as free agents with NFL Clubs.
Two more Cougs--tackle Bobby Byrd and TE/FB Jed Collins--will likely sign with NFL clubs in the next 24 hours.
