VIDEO: Future Coug Rodgers stood tall in '08

ALREADY A MOUNTAIN of a prepster at 6-foot-7, Jake Rodgers also has the wingspan of a condor. The Spokane product hasn't been evaluated or rated by as of this writing -- but these video highlights from Rodgers 2008 junior campaign figure to give the evaluators something to talk about.

Jake Rodgers looks to come to WSU as a tight end but he has that TE/DE/OL type of body that Paul Wulff targets -- long of limb and very athletic, with room to pack on the pounds as needed.

The ceiling for the Shadle Park product is higher than you normally find -- his first season playing varsity ball was 2008, and he was named first team all-GSL at tight end, one of only three juniors on the 17-man first team GSL offense.

As for athleticism, consider that the 6-7, 245-pound Rodgers was a key reserve on Shadle's hoops team as a junior, playing alongside incoming Cougar hoopster Anthony Brown on Shadle's state tournament run.
