Cali corner gives WSU trip two thumbs up

HE EARNED FIRST TEAM All CIF-Southern Section Southeast Division, all-league and all-area honors this past season and helped lead Charter Oak High to their second consecutive CIF-Southern Section Southeast Division championship. This past weekend, the future Coug was in Pullman on his official visit.

Brandon Golden (CB/ATH; 6-0, 192, 4.4) hails from Charter Oak, the same school that produced CougGreat corner Jason David. Golden has idolized David for years.

"It was a really good visit," said Golden of his official visit to WSU. "It was a nice campus, the guys on the team were good to hang out with, it was an all-around good time."

Golden said Paul Wulff was coming down sometime this week to sit down with he and his family for an in-home. While in Pullman, he sat down with his future position coach, Cougar assistant Jody Sears.

Golden said they talked a lot about X's and O's and varying defensive schemes.

"It's a good scheme. They have a lot going on that's going to mean better things in the future," said Golden.

GOLDEN ALSO SPENT plenty of time with his future teammates.

"They have a lot of young guys and they're great, I'm pretty excited about hanging with those guys...It was more than I expected it to be, I'm glad I took the trip," said Golden.
