Huskies still in it for Levingston

As Washington continues its search for linemen to bring in with the 2011 recruiting class, one player they have squarely in their sights is Narbonne (Harbor City, Ca.) OL Dontae Levingston and spoke to the talented line prospect recently to get his thoughts on things including his matchup this weekend in the first round of the playoffs with L.A. Jordan…

"Things have been going well," Levingston told "I mean, we're in the playoffs for my senior season, so the rest is all in our hands in how we play."

Levingston has offers from schools across the country, but before the season started he had narrowed things down to three schools – Washington, SMU and Oregon.

While he's already visited two of those three, he said he's still hoping to make the third visit before he decides on where he will spend his college years.

"Washington was a good visit, definitely," Levingston said. "I love the coaches and I have a lot of friends up there that play and Sean (Parker) is up there too.

"SMU was also a good visit. They are building something good there and I love the staff."

Levingston has taken a long look at the Huskies this season and said their record hasn't dampened his excitement about the program.

"I've watched almost all of their games and I think they are doing well," Levingston said. "It takes time to build things and when you watch them struggling, you sorta put yourself in there, at least you have that mindset and you can see yourself helping them.

"I talked to coach (Demtrice) Martin just yesterday (Monday) and he asked me how I was doing and if I still had love for the Huskies. I told him I still have love for them and that nothing had changed."

Levingston was supposed to visit Oregon a few weeks ago, but his trip got cancelled and he's unsure of whether he will make the trip to Eugene or not.

"I'm still considering them and I think it would be a good visit, but I'm not real sure right now," Levingston noted.

We'll continue to follow Levingston's progress through the rest of the recruiting process and we'll update news as it happens.
