A's take one on the chin

The Renton A's braved the cold and damp weather, but came up a little short with a 6 to 4 loss against the Skyway-Tukwila Diamond Backs. Timely hitting was the problem tonight as the A's totaled 13 hits, but left 8 runners stranded on the bases. Trevor led the way going three for three including an RBI. Corbin and Benji had two hits each while Matt went 2 for 3 scoring twice and driving in one run.

Adam started the game at pitcher and was a little shaky, but Beau came in with the bases loaded and one out and proceeded to strike out the next two batters to end the inning.

Beau pitched the next two innings giving up only three hits, but our defense got a little loose in the third as the D-Backs were able to score four times.

Matt came in and pitched the final three innings allowing one run on no hits while striking out four. Our bottom of the 6th rally was looking promising. With one run in and just one out Trevor was at 3rd and Chris at 1st.Corbin lined a ball to the shortstop who then doubled off Chris at 1st for a game ending double play.
