Trip Report - Marcus Peters

After an outstanding senior season for McClymonds (Oakland, Ca.), Marcus Peters, one of the rising corner prospects on the west coast has started his tour of colleges and this week he was in Seattle to check out the University of Washington...

"The trip was exactly what I had expected," Peters told "I knew Washington was a good school and that the coaches were really high energy and they didn't disappoint me at all.

"The practices were great to watch and see how the coaches interacted with the players and I got to see some of the drills they did to prepare for their game."

Peters' host was freshman wideout DiAndre Campbell, who he knew from their prep days.

"I already knew him, so it was cool just hanging out and when I asked him something I didn't doubt that it was the truth and not just someone telling you something you want to hear."

As a senior, Peters posted over 50 tackles and collected five interceptions for McClymonds through 12 games and he was voted the Oakland Athletic League All-City MVP.

Peters visited Arizona State last weekend and plans to visit Oregon State on January 14th and said USC is the school he wants to visit on January 21st.
