A's get first win

The A's rallied from 4 runs down in the 1st inning to win their first game of the season 10-7. The rally started with three runs in the 2nd inning with consecutive singles by Sean and Chris. Sam them knocked in Sean with a single to center. A few pitches later Chris scored on a wild pitch with Sam advancing to 3rd. Matt then drove in Sam with a sacrifice fly to right.

Beau did a great job on the mound. He entered in the middle of the 1st inning shutting down the Mariners' rally. He then pitched the 2nd and 3rd innings giving up just one run on two hits while striking out 6.

The bats got hot again in the 3rd with the A's scoring 5 times. Kyle led off with a single then was forced at third by a ground ball hit by Corbin. Beau followed with a single, and then Sean cracked another single to center scoring Corbin. Beau came home on a pass ball, then Adam was hit by a pitch.

Sam came to the plate and ripped a double into right driving in Sean and Adam. Sam then advanced home on two wild pitches.

Kyle pitched the final three innings in his season debut on the mound. He did a great job by giving up only 2 runs on 3 hits striking out 2.

The defensive gem of the game was an inning ending double play to close out the Mariners 5th. With a runner on 1st and one out Beau handled a hard hit grounder at short stop, he flipped the ball to Benji at 2nd who then made a flawless turn and fired the relay to Adam at 1st for a rare 6-4-3 little league double play.

The A's closed out their scoring in the 5th. Anthony walked and then stole second and third. Matt then lined a single up the middle scoring Anthony.
