USC Nike camp profile - Zach Miller

Zach Miller is a 6-4, 240-pound TE from Phoenix (Ariz.) Desert Vista and is also the younger brother of Brent Miller, Arizona State signee. When Brent went through the process he didn't wait long before pulling the trigger in favor of the hometown Sun Devils. Anyone that's thinking Zach will automatically choose the same path is sorely mistaken.

"I'm going to play it out," Zach told TheInsiders Sunday after the USC Nike camp. "I'm going to take my trips and see what's out there."

Zach was easily the best tight end at the camp, as his combination of size, speed and hands could not be matched. He had a bit of a leg up on the competition, as he attended the Stanford Nike camp last year as a sophomore. "It was a good camp," said Miller. "I knew what they were going to do."

His testing numbers were very good - 4.26 shuttle and 28.2 inches on the vertical jump. He didn't run a 40, but reported a 4.61. "I like the competition, seeing what guys are out there," Zach said of the camp environment. "I think I was the best tight end, but we didn't get a ton of reps."

Arizona State, Arizona, Miami, UCLA and Washington top Miller's wish list, and the two Arizona schools have already offered him scholarships. "Miami just offered me last week," Zach added.

If Miller had to take trips tomorrow, he would go to Miami and Ohio State, with unofficials to ASU and UA likely because of familiarity with both.
