Trip Report - Marvin Hall

Dorsey WR/DB Marvin Hall, one of the premier return specialists on the west coast this year, committed to Washington over two weeks ago. However, this weekend was the first time he'd ever been to Seattle so everything was a new experience for him and he told that he's firmly committed to Washington and plans to sign with them on Wednesday...

"Oh yeah, I'm firm to Washington," Hall told "The city was great, it was a nice campus, there were lots of nice people and I enjoyed my time hanging out with the players.

"It was my first time to Seattle, but everything was exactly what I expected and I can't wait to get up there."

Hall's hosts were CB Greg Ducre and WR Kevin Smith.

"I already knew both of them from back in California," Hall noted. "Greg went to Crenshaw and that is our rival school and Kevin and I played against each other too."

Hall led Dorsey in receiving yards (673) and touchdowns (9) while finishing third with 31 receptions this season.

His coach recently told that he possesses a 40-plus inch vertical, able to dunk a basketball in bare feet and ran a 4.39 for the Dorsey coaching staff this past summer.

With those attributes and that productivity, he said he knows on which side of the ball he'd like to play.

"They are bringing me in as an athlete and said I could play on either side of the ball," Hall said. "If it were up to me though, I'm coming in at receiver because that's where I've been playing all my life."

Hall and his teammate Matthew Lyons will sign with Washington on Wednesday in a ceremony at Dorsey.
