Kimo Makaula (K.Grinolds/Dawgman.com)

Kimo Makaula to transfer?

It looks like Washington may be losing Kimo Makaula if you believe the report out of the Hawaii Star Advertiser today...

"So much for the Punahou reunion in Seattle in September. Kimo Makaula and UH's Cayman Shutter shared quarterback duties at Punahou. Makaula also played running back, tight end and defensive end. D1 reports that Makaula is transferring from Washington to Idaho State."

Makaula struggled to find a niche at Washington in his three years with the program.

The coaches had originally tried him at the H-back position and this spring he was third in the fullback rotation behind recently switched Jonathan Amosa as well as sophomore Zach Fogerson.

We hope to get some clarification from the Washington Athletic Department soon, but at this point, we felt the need to pass along the info.

We will have more in the future when we get more information.

Talk about it: Here.
