Huskies 'in it until the end' for Dozier

St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Ca.) LB C.J. Dozier is a prospect that Washington has been in heavy pursuit of and the talented Golden State prospect has returned that interest even heading north for the Husky Spring Game in late April. With that visit behind him, Dozier, according to his father, Curtis Sr., has UW right at the top and said they will stay there until the end...

"C.J. and I really enjoyed the visit up there," Dozier Sr. said. "We met with the coaches and spent a lot of time just taking in the city and the school.

"Everything went really well and Washington is a school that will be in it all the way until the end for C.J."

In addition to his offer from the Huskies, Dozier also claims offers from Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, SMU and Washington State and he maintains that three are in the lead.

"Washington, Arizona and Arizona State are the ones sticking out now," Dozier Sr. noted. "There is still time for him to be recruited by schools, but he isn't a kid who is going to wait around for offers.

"We want to make the decision before his senior season and if schools try and come in late, that isn't going to be good for them because that just shows that they didn't want him that badly.

"Washington has done a great job recruiting C.J. and I think they have positioned themselves nicely to get him, but ultimately, it's going to be his decision and he needs to as much information as possible."

As a junior in 2010, Dozier played at Temecula Chapparal and he finished the season with 113 tackles, four sacks and two forced fumbles and is projected as an outside linebacker at the next level.

We will continue to keep track of Dozier and will update news as it happens.
