Taylor adds his name to Husky commit list

Washington added yet another name to their growing list of commitments when Hamilton (Az.) WR Kendyl Taylor decided to become a Dawg while on an unofficial visit this weekend. Dawgman.com spoke to the talented athlete and he filled us in on why he ended the process so early...

"It was the way they went after me and pursued me," Taylor told Dawgman.com. "I got to see how they treated their players and how it feels like a big family there.

"I was up on an unofficial visit this weekend and committed to the (Washington) coaches while I was there."

Taylor posted 48 receptions for 713 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for 784 yards and nine more scores and was named 1st Team All-Region as a junior in 2010.

The talented athlete from the Grand Canyon State chose the Huskies over offers from Notre Dame, Stanford, Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan State and Washington State.

He also mentioned that he is "solid" in his commitment to Washington and only plans to take his official visit to Montlake this fall.

Taylor becomes the 10th known commitment to Washington's 2012 recruiting class and is the third to make his announcement this weekend along with Bellarmine Prep (Tacoma, Wa.) WR Michael Rector and Tesoro (Las Flores, Ca.) LB Blake Rodgers.
