A's roll on

The A's had to muster up a big six run two out rally in the top of the 5th inning to get past a tough Dodger team, who entered the game with an 8-3 record, and ended with a 8-1 victory. The win extends the A's winning streak to eight.

Sam started on the mound for the A's and set down the side one two three in the first inning. He added a strong second inning that was highlighted by a heads up defensive play by Kyle.

With no out and one run in, and runners on 1st and 2nd, Kyle fielded a hard hit grounder at second. The coach's jaw then dropped as he fired the ball across the infield forcing the runner at third.

Sean then fired to second completing a timely, yet rare 4-5-6 double play. Sam then pitched out the inning without allowing any more runs.

The A's evened the game in the top of the 3rd. Trevor led off with a single to center and advanced to third on an error by the center fielder. Trevor later scored on a ground out to short by Beau.

Beau was called in to pitch the 3rd and held the Dodgers scoreless and hitless through the 4th.

In the top of the 5th Chris led off with a walk. Trevor followed with a double, then Beau walked to load the bases. Matt cames up and hit a ball just in front of home that the catcher fielded, we all thought in foul territory, but not according to the ump. The catcher stepped on home forcing out Chris.

The next batter popped out to the pitcher leaving the bases loaded and now two outs. Kyle stepped to the plate and belted a one hopper that the second baseman was unable to handle cleanly. That brought in a run and kept the bases loaded.

Adam followed with single to center that scored two more runs. Corbin kept the rally going by lacing a single to right bringing home Kyle. The Dodger defense then weakend a bit as both Adam and Corbin scored on wild pitches, over throws and pass balls.

Beau completed his six inning week by throwing a scoreless 5th. Matt was called in to close out the game in the bottom of the 6th, which he did by striking out the first batter, then getting the next two Dodgers to hit into ground outs.
