One of Washington's wideout commitments, Gahr (Cerritos, Ca.) WR Dwayne Washington is tearing it up in Southern California and has put up some big numbers in just two games. Dawgman.com takes a look at how all 17 of the Husky pledges did last week and who they face off against this week...

Gahr (Cerritos, Ca.) WR Dwayne Washington - In the Gladiators' thrilling 24-22 win over Northwood (Irvine), Washington had his second-straight huge game hauling in 5 receptions for 190 yards and two scores including one for 90 yards.

Season Totals: 12 rec. for 385 yards and 5 TDs

Kennedy (Burien, Wa.) S/QB Jason Thompson - Thompson and the rest of his Kennedy teammates struggled mightily on the offensive side of the ball, totaling just 37 yards of offense on the night. Thompson was harrassed all night and completed just 4 of 14 passes for 19 yards and was intercepted twice. On the flip side, he was outstanding defensively totaling 26 tackles and he recovered a fumble that he ran back 65 yards for a score. In the end, Archbishop Murphy was too much for Kennedy, handing the Lancers a 41-14 shellacking.

Muir (Pasadena, Ca.) RB Tairen Owens - Owens had another strong game both as a running back and as a return man. He totaled 60 yards on eight carries and hauled in two receptions for 48 yards and returned a punt 44 yards to set up the Mustangs' first touchdown in a 27-9 win over Saugus.

Season Stats: 114 yards rushing; 109 yards receiving; 1 TD; 4 punt returns for 105 yards (26.25 average).

Mullen (Denver, Co.) QB Cyler Miles - Grandview ended Mullen's 34-game winning streak, downing the Mustangs 12-7. Miles had a rough game throwing two interceptions and only one touchdown while going 16 of 26 for 165 yards. He was also sacked five times.

Season Stats: 34 of 48, 435 yards, 4 TD, 2 INT; 31 yards rushing.

Orange (Ca.) Lutheran S/DB Darien Washington - Orange Lutheran is 2-0 on the season after notching a 36-21 win over Los Osos. In the game, Washington posted 2 tackles and 2 passes defensed.

Juanita (Kirkland, Wa.) OL Nathan Dean - The Rebels could do nothing offensively all night in a 19-0 loss to Indglemoor, gaining just 136 yards of total offense on the night and not posting a first down until the fourth quarter.

Tesoro (Las Flores, Ca.) LB Blake Rodgers - Rodgers was solid against Santa Margarita last week, posting 12 tackles, one tackle-for-loss, one interception and one sack against one of the best teams in the state. Unfortunately for Rodgers and the rest of the Titans, they lost to their cross-town rivals 39-7.

Bellarmine Prep (Tacoma, Wa.) WR/DB Michael Rector - In a 45-13 win over Wilson, Rector played a little more than a half and had three receptions for 89 yards and one touchdown.

Colony (Ontario, Ca.) CB Bryan Harper - Awaiting stats

St. Louis (Honolulu, Hi.) DE Kalei Auelua - Pac-Five held Auelua in check much of the night, but St. Louis still managed to win the game 38-7. On defense, the Crusaders were able to hold Pac-Five to just 132 yards of offense.

Gig Harbor (Wa.) K/P Korey Durkee - The Tides absolutely manhandled Graham-Kapowsin last week, winning 42-7 on the road. In the game, Durkee only had one field goal attempt, from 38, but averaged 42.3 yards on two punts and had five touchbacks on six kickoffs.

Season Stats: 3 for 4 on field goal attempts, long of 38 yards; 45 yards per punt; 9 touchbacks on kickoffs.

Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, Ca.) DE/LB Jeremy Castro - Castro was a big contributor in Vista Murrieta's first game of the season posting five tackles, one sack and one tackle-for-loss in the Broncos' 31-28 win over Etiwanda.

Arcadia (Ca.) S Taylor Lagace - In a 31-28 loss to St. Francis, Lagace did all he could to keep the Apaches in the game, hauling in 13 receptions for 156 yards and two touchdowns and also returned an interception 32 yards for another score while totaling 9 tackles from his safety position.

Cajon (San Bernardino, Ca.) CB/RB Damontae Kazee - Another game, another night of filling up the stat sheet for Kazee as he posted 78 yards rushing and a touchdown. He also threw a touchdown pass and hauled in a 48 yard touchdown reception. On defense, Kazee wasn't thrown at much, but had two tackles and three passes defensed.

Hamilton (Chandler, Az.) WR/RB/DB Kendyl Taylor - Hauled in three catches for 80 yards with a touchdown and rushed 10 times for 60 yards and a touchdown in Hamilton's 47-7 win over Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale).

Mercer Island (Wa.) QB Jeff Lindquist - Lindquist led the Islanders to a relatively easy 36-21 win over Newport. Lindquist completed 14 of 31 passes for 149 yards with one touchdown and rushed for 115 yards and three more scores to put M.I. up 29-0 at the half before coasting the rest of the night.

Season Totals: 45 of 79 for 482 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT; 39 carries for 243 yards, 7 TDs.
