NoCal Nike update - Jeff Schweiger

Jeff Schweiger is a 6-4, 241-pound defensive end from San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian, and Jeff had some pretty healthy goals going into the NoCal Nike camp Saturday. Did he achieve them? You bet, and in the process established himself as the top defensive end in the west, bar none.

"I did really well," Schweigert told TheInsiders after the camp was over. "I was able to acheive almost all of my personal goals. I wanted to run a 4.5 in the 40, over 30 reps on the bench, under 4 in the shuttle and dominate the individual drills."

For the record, Jeff ran a 4.56 40, 31 reps on the bench, 4.11 shuttle, and a 31-inch vertical jump and he absolutely dominated when it came time for the one-on-ones. "I think I showed people that speed and quickness are more important than how big you are."

Jeff's current top-5 of USC, Oklahoma, Colorado, Michigan and Notre Dame looks pretty solid right now, although he claims no top school. He has scholarship offers from USC, UCLA, Oklahoma, Colorado and Washington. "My whole family is from Seattle and my Dad grew up there," he said.
