Tesoro (Las Flores, Ca.) LB Blake Rodgers - The Titans are now 2-1 after a 27-3 win over Chino Hills last weekend. Rodgers had a huge night, posting 16 tackles and 1.5 sacks in for his team.

Gahr (Cerritos, Ca.) WR Dwayne Washington - Gahr moved to 3-0 on the season with a 51-6 win over cross-town rival Cerritos. Washington was instrumental in the point run-up, hauling in five receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns.

Gig Harbor (Wa.) K/P Korey Durkee - Durkee nailed a 52-yard field goal, but the Tides lost the game 14-10 to Mt. Tahoma. Durkee also totaled three touchbacks on his three kickoffs and averaged 43.7 yards per punt.

Season Stats: 4 for 5 on field goal attempts, long of 52 yards; 44.8 yards per punt; 12 touchbacks on kickoffs.

Colony (Ontario, Ca.) CB Bryan Harper - Harper has relinquished the quarterback duties to junior QB Matt Simko, allowing him to just concentrate on defense where he posted eight tackles and had two passes defensed in a losing effort as the Titans fell to Glendora 24-17.

Season Stats: 15 tackles, 1 INT, 8 passes defensed; 11 of 17, 142 yards, 1 TD; 9 carries, 107 yards.

Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, Ca.) DE/LB Jeremy Castro - The Broncos shutout Santiago last week 25-0 and Castro again had a big part of it, posting six tackles and five tackles-for-loss.

Kennedy (Burien, Wa.) S/QB Jason Thompson - The Lancers got to 2-1 with a 28-0 win over Hazen last week. Thompson was 4 of 11 passing, for 66 yards and one touchdown while rushing for 58 yards and another score. He also had 2.5 tackles in the win.

Muir (Pasadena, Ca.) RB Tairen Owens - Racho Cucamonga, one of the top teams in the state of California, held Owens and teammate Kevon Seymour in check most of the night as Muir fell to 2-1 with a 35-6 loss. Owens rushed for just 48 yards and had one reception for 22 yards in the loss.

Season Stats: 162 yards rushing; 5 receptions for 131 yards, 1 TD; 5 punt returns for 120 yards (24 yd. average).

Orange (Ca.) Lutheran S/DB Darien Washington - Washington had seven tackles and a pass defensed in the Lancers' 45-6 win over Tustin.

Mullen (Denver, Co.) QB Cyler Miles - After losing their first game in nearly three years, the Mustangs, behind the leadership of Miles, got back in the winner's column with a 28-9 win over Cherokee Trail. On the night, Miles was 15 of 19 for 217 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions, both of which came off of the hands of his receivers.

Season Stats: 49 of 67, 652 yards, 6 TDs, 4 INTs; 31 yards rushing.
