Pretty much all of Washington's 17 known commitments are halfway through their senior seasons and at the mid-way point, almost all have put up solid numbers. Bellarmine Prep (Tacoma, Wa.) WR/DB Michael Rector - The Lions continue to roll toward a possible state-championship getting to 5-0 with a 49-17 win over Central Kitsap. Rector had his first big game of the season, hauling in five receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

Colony (Ontario, Ca.) CB Bryan Harper Harper didn't play much in the second half of Colony's 59-6 drubbing of cross-town rival Ontario, but still posted three tackles and two passes defensed before the starters gave way to the backups.

Season Stats: 23 tackles, 1 INT, 13 passes defensed; 11 of 17, 142 yards, 1 TD; 9 carries, 107 yards.

Mullen (Denver, Co.) QB Cyler Miles - Miles didn't had a solid night against Bear Creek going 14 of 20 for 205 yards and one touchdown in Mullen's 34-18 win.

Cajon (San Bernardino, Ca.) CB/RB Damontae Kazee - Kazee and his teammates are off to a 4-0 start including last week's 67-6 win over rival San Bernardino, a game in which the talented senior posted six receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown on offense and three tackles and two passes defensed from his cornerback position in just one half of play before the first team gave way to the backups.

Season Totals: 322 yards rushing, 2 TDs; 12 rec., 178 yards, 4 TD; 10 tackles, 7 passes defensed.

St. Louis (Honolulu, Hi.) DE Kalei Auelua - Bye.

Arcadia (Ca.) S Taylor Lagace - Lagace and the Apaches got a 42-7 win over Muir last week and Lagace was a big reason that the Mustangs' offense was held in check, posting seven tackles and a sack from his safety spot while hauling in five receptions for 58 yards and a 26-yard touchdown on offense.

Gig Harbor (Wa.) K/P Korey Durkee - Durkee had a big night for the Tides, hitting kicks of 45, 38 and 32 yards in their 30-20 win over South Kitsap.

Season Stats: 8 for 9 on field goal attempts, long of 52 yards; 44.8 yards per punt; 25 touchbacks on kickoffs.

Tesoro (Las Flores, Ca.) LB Blake Rodgers - The Titans dropped to 3-2 after suffering a 24-6 defeat at the hands of Chaparral. Rodgers did what he could to keep his team in the game, posting eight tackles and two tackles-for-loss in the losing effort.

Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, Ca.) DT Malcolm Jackson The Matadors abused Sweetwater to the tune of a 56-20 and Jackson was a big reason, posting six tackles and two sacks.

Juanita (Kirkland, Wa.) OL Nathan Dean - Juanita had the lead late, but gave up a late score to Liberty and lost 16-14. The Rebels have struggled all season passing the ball, making them one-dimensional and that means the offensive line has struggled a little opening holes since opponents can stack the box. Dean is the player they run behind and he's held his own, but he too has had his moments where he's struggled.

Mercer Island (Wa.) QB Jeff Lindquist - Lindquist led the Islanders on a torrid comeback in the second half, but it wasn't enough as they fell to top-ranked Bellevue 43-28. Lindquist rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries and completed 14 of 37 passes for 167 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Season Totals: 74 of 142 for 899 yards, 8 TD, 4 INT; 76 carries for 463 yards, 9 TDs.

Hamilton (Chandler, Az.) WR/RB/DB Kendyl Taylor Hamilton got to 6-0 with a 28-21 win over rival Chandler and Taylor again was a big contributor, rushing for 85 yards and a touchdown and hauling in two receptions for 45 more yards.

Season Totals: 30 carries, 85 yard, 3 TD; 38 rec., 439 yards, 3 TD; 2 kickoff returns for 105 yards; 30 yd average on 2 punt returns.

Kennedy (Burien, Wa.) S/QB Jason Thompson - Kennedy destroyed Foster last week, getting a 62-7 win, and Thompson had a solid outing going 11 of 12 for 193 yards and three touchdowns, rushing for nine yards and a score from his quarterback position while posting five tackles and intercepting a pass he returned for a touchdown from his safety spot.

Muir (Pasadena, Ca.) RB Tairen Owens - Owens and the rest of the Mustangs' offense was shut down by the Arcadia defense, but the Husky commit did manage to post 75 yards rushing and two receptions for 20 yards in a 42-7 loss.

Season Stats: 237 yards rushing; 7 receptions for 151 yards, 1 TD; 7 punt returns for 169 yards (24 yd. average).
