English talks recruiting, favorites

The Auburn Trojans have struggled this season to a 2-4 and over the weekend, Dawgman.com caught up with OL Cory English to talk about his senior season so far and also discussed where he's at in the recruiting process and he informed us that he has set up his first official visit...

"We've struggled this year, but we're still fighting and trying to win," English told Dawgman.com. "We all want to improve and get better and go out on a winning note.

"This coming week we have Kentlake and they are a tough team, so we have to clean up our mistakes and make the plays when we have a chance."

English is playing center for the Trojans this season after playing tackles as a sophomore and guard as a junior.

"I played guard last year with Danny (Shelton) and as a sophomore I played tackle, but this year I play center and I really love it," English said. "It just give me control of things and I love the drive blocking I get to do."

On the recruiting front, English said he's set up his first official visit and that he still has the same two favorites he's had since the beginning of the summer.

"It's still between Washington and Oregon State," English said. "I'm officially visiting Oregon State this coming weekend and then I'll visit Washington and then I will probably sit down with my family and make my decision.

"I've also got offers from Idaho and Washington State, but right now, Washington and Oregon State are the two schools I like the most.

"I talk to coach (Dan) Cozzetto and the other coaches at U-Dub a lot and I keep up with them. They've been playing well and I really like them a lot.

"In the end, I just want to get the right feel and make sure that I make the right choice for myself and my family. My uncle is the one who wants me to make sure on things before I decide because once I do that, I won't change my mind."

We'll have more in the future from English after his visit to Corvalis and update news as it happens.
