Husky Commit Recaps: Week #10

A few of Washington's 17 commitments had their senior seasons come to an end, but several more begin post-season play this weekend. Dawgman.com takes a look at all of the Husky commits and what they did last week...

Gahr (Cerritos, Ca.) WR Dwayne Washington Washington had a huge game against Lynwood, hauling in 10 receptions for 205 yards and two touchdowns as the Gladiators got back in the winners column with a 57-32 win.

Mullen (Denver, Co.) QB Cyler Miles Miles continues to be an efficient leader for the Mustangs, completing 17 of 21 pass attempts for 165 yards and two touchdowns as Mullen downed Mountain Vista 42-0.

Season Stats: 111 of 140, 1,467 yards, 18 TDs, 6 INTs; 172 yards rushing, 2 TDs.

Junipero Serra (San Mateo, Ca.) RB/DB Erich Wilson - In Serra's 35-14 win over Sacred Heart Cathedral, Wilson carried the rock 23 times for 168 yards and two touchdowns. The talented tailback also posted a 99-yard kickoff return for another touchdown.

Season Stats: 147 carries, 1,490 yards, 23 TDs; 20 tackles, 1 fumble recovery

Colony (Ontario, Ca.) CB Bryan Harper Bye.

Hamilton (Chandler, Az.) WR/RB/DB Kendyl Taylor The starters sat out most of the second half of the Huskies' 37-7 win over Valley Vista last week, so Taylor's numbers weren't very big, but he did manage to carry the ball five times for 32 yards and haul in three receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown.

Season Totals: 57 carries, 480 yards, 5 TD; 66 rec., 775 yards, 10 TDs; 4 kickoff returns for 174 yards; 30 yd average on 2 punt returns.

Kennedy (Burien, Wa.) S/QB Jason Thompson In Kennedy's 52-14 drubbing of Lincoln last week, Thompson had a big night on both sides of the ball going 8 of 10 on his pass attempts for 136 yards and three touchdowns while rushng for 51 yards and posting seven tackles from his safety spot.

Season Totals: 51 of 88 pass attempts for 744 yards with 13 TDs and 3 INTs; 308 yards rushing, 3 TDs; 70 tackles, 2 sack, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 2 interception, 2 TD

Cajon (San Bernardino, Ca.) CB/RB Damontae Kazee - Cajon walloped Arroyo Valley 45-6 and Kazee was a contributor on both sides of the ball, rushing for 48 yards and a touchdown while hauling in four passes for 59 yards and racking up four tackles and two passes defensed on defense.

Season Totals: 636 yards rushing, 8 TDs; 34 rec., 517 yards, 7 TD; 29 tackles, 23 passes defensed.

Arcadia (Ca.) S Taylor Lagace Arcadia got a 48-21 win over Pasadena last week, but Lagace was held in check much of the night only catching one pass for nine yards and posting five tackles on defense.

Bellarmine Prep (Tacoma, Wa.) WR/DB Michael Rector - Rector had a huge night as the Lions downed Graham-Kapowsin 37-19, hauling in five receptions for 186 yards and three touchdowns.

Orange (Ca.) Lutheran S/DB Darien Washington - The Lancers fell to 6-3 with a surprising 31-14 loss to Junipero Serra Catholic and while his team was defeated, Washington did manage to post 11 tackles and four passes defensed.

Muir (Pasadena, Ca.) RB Tairen Owens Owens scored the first touchdown of the night, a 50-yard punt return, and also had 65 yards rushing and four receptions for 70 yards.

Season Stats: 659 yards rushing, 3 TDs; 18 rec. for 369 yards, 3 TDs; 20 punt returns for 420 yards (24 yd. average), 1 TD.

Mercer Island (Wa.) QB Jeff Lindquist The Islanders downed Ferndale 21-14 and Lindquist had a solid night going 14 of 27 for 202 yards and three touchdowns while rushing 17 times for 84 more yards on the ground.
