A's win two

The A's stayed alive for the south hill championship by defeating the Cardinals on Tuesday and Diamond Backs on Thursday. The A's record now stands at 15 wins and 4 loses, just one game back from the front running Blue Jays with two games left in the season.

On Tuesday Adam connected for a grand slam home run with a line shot to the warning track, about 280 feet, in the second inning. Trevor slammed a double driving in two more shortly there after, then Sam drove in Trevor with a single up the middle.

The score after two innings was 9-1 in the A's favor and they never looked back in winning the game 12-5

On Thursday evenings match up against the D'Backs Chris started on the mound for the A's and pitched a perfect first three innings. He faced the minimum nine batters, allowing no base runners while striking out five.

The A's bats started off slowly. The first run was scored in the second when Matt crossed the plate on a single to right by Corbin.

No runs were scored in the 3rd, but then the bats came to life in the 4th.

With two quick outs Sean stepped to the plate and ripped a shot over the centerfielders head for a solo home run. Anthony then walked and Kyle singled. Beau came up and drove the ball down the third base line driving in two. Adam followed with a single to center scoring Beau. Trevor reached base on a fielding error and Sam walked to load up the bases.

Benji then singled to right driving in Adam and Trevor. The scoring would have continued but Sam was called out on a very questionable call while attempting to steal home on a pass ball.

The A's lit it up again in the 5th as Matt led off with a single and scored on Sean triple. Kyle brought in Sean with a single to right. Beau and Adam followed with line shot doubles to center.

Beau pitched the last three innings completing the shut out and securing the A's 13-0 victory.
