Husky Commit Recaps: Week #11

Several more of Washington's 17 known commitments finished their senior seasons last weekend, while several more are focused on playoff games this weekend. Here's a look at how each prospect that played fared last week and where they go from here...

Junipero Serra (San Mateo, Ca.) RB/DB Erich Wilson - Wilson had a huge game in Serra's 44-21 win over Valley Christian last week rushing for 190 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries.

Season Stats: 163 carries, 1,680 yards, 26 TDs; 24 tackles, 1 fumble recovery

Cajon (San Bernardino, Ca.) CB/RB Damontae Kazee - Cajon won the SAL title by beating Rialto Carter 24-7 and Kazee was a big reason why, hauling in four catches for 125 yards and two touchdowns (58, 24) while also posting six tackles and two passes defensed.

Season Totals: 636 yards rushing, 8 TDs; 38 rec., 642 yards, 9 TD; 35 tackles, 25 passes defensed.

Gahr (Cerritos, Ca.) WR Dwayne Washington Washington had another big game last week, posting seven receptions for 100 yards and one touchdown to finish his senior season

Colony (Ontario, Ca.) CB Bryan Harper Colony beat Montclair 58-6 and Harper was a contributor on both sides of the ball, completing 3 of 5 passes for 86 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 25 yards on offense and posted four tackles on defense.

Season Stats: 47 tackles, 2 INTs, 20 passes defensed; 28 of 37, 479 yards, 5 TDs; 56 carries, 545 yards, 5 TDs.

Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, Ca.) DT Malcolm Jackson The Matadors earned themselves a bye this week after a 42-0 drubbing of El Capitan and Jackson had a big night, posting four tackles and two sacks.

Arcadia (Ca.) S Taylor Lagace The Apaches handled business in a 31-7 win over Crescenta Valley and Lagace made a couple of big plays including a interception to go along with three tackles on defense, while hauling in two receptions for 23 yards.

Season Totals: 45 rec., 672 yards, 5 TDs; 43 tackles, 3 INT, 2 sack.

Orange (Ca.) Lutheran S/DB Darien Washington - The Lancers dropped their fourth game in the last five weeks, falling to St. John Bosco 48-28 to finish out the season. Washington had a solid final game, racking up six tackles.

Season Stats: 77 tackles; 21 passes defensed, 3 forced fumble, 3 fumble recoveries, 1 sack, 1 interception

Muir (Pasadena, Ca.) RB Tairen Owens Muir outlasted rival Pasadena 14-6 to finish out the season and Owens had a solid night, rushing for 28 yards and hauling in four receptions for 46 yards.

Season Stats: 687 yards rushing, 3 TDs; 22 rec. for 415 yards, 3 TDs; 20 punt returns for 420 yards (24 yd. average), 1 TD.

Tesoro (Las Flores, Ca.) LB Blake Rodgers Tesoro lost to San Clemente 31-6. Awaiting stats.

Mullen (Denver, Co.) QB Cyler Miles Mullen got a narrow 21-14 win over Bear Creek in the first round of the state playoffs last week and Miles had a decent outing, completing 10 of 17 passes for 198 yards.

Season Stats: 121 of 157, 1,665 yards, 18 TDs, 6 INTs; 172 yards rushing, 2 TDs.

Hamilton (Chandler, Az.) WR/RB/DB Kendyl Taylor Taylor had a big night in Hamilton's 28-0 win over rival Chandler, hauling in five passes for 102 yards including touchdown receptions of 15 and 53 yards and also had five carries for 60 yards rushing.

Season Totals: 62 carries, 540 yards, 5 TD; 71 rec., 877 yards, 12 TDs; 4 kickoff returns for 174 yards; 30 yd average on 2 punt returns.

Kennedy (Burien, Wa.) S/QB Jason Thompson Kennedy got a tough draw in the first round of the playoffs, facing off against powerhouse Camas and lost 48-14. Thompson went 6 of 9 for 89 yards passing and threw for a touchdown and also had three tackles from his safety spot to finish his high school career.

Bellarmine Prep (Tacoma, Wa.) WR/DB Michael Rector - Rector took a back seat to some other players in the Lions' 42-7 pasting of Edmonds-Woodway. The senior wideout only caught one pass for 45 yards and touchdown and had two tackles and a forced fumble and a fumble recovery on defense.

Mercer Island (Wa.) QB Jeff Lindquist Lindquist went down with a high-ankle sprain late in the second quarter of MI's 20-17 loss to Meadowdale. Before he left the game, the talented senior had completed 10 of 16 passes for 67 yards and rushed for 47 more yards.

Season Totals: 133 of 243 for 1,902 yards, 22 TDs, 7 INTs; 140 carries for 828 yards, 12 TDs.
