Trip Report - Nathan Dean

Widely regarded as one of the top linemen in the state, Juanita (Kirkland, Wa.) OL Nathan Dean, was the first to pledge to the Huskies this summer and this weekend he spent time hanging out with his soon-to-be teammates as well as some of the top uncommitted OL prospects on Washington's recruiting board...

"It was a lot of fun for me," Dean told Dawgman.com. "I had a really great time. Dexter Charles was my host and we talked about a lot of stuff, mainly just about the conditioning I need to have before I get there and we also talked a lot about what it's like as a player there as a freshman."

In addition to spending time with his host, he also got to meet more of the currently players as well as recruit some of the uncommitted players.

"We stayed out late on Friday and got to hang out with a bunch of the players," Dean noted. "We went over the Ben Riva's house and hung out there with some of the other lineman and then we went over to Alameda Ta'amu's and there were other recruits there and we just all spent time hanging out and getting to know each other better.

"I got to know the whole life story of Menelik Watson and it's pretty interesting. He's a great guy and I know he loved his time up here.

"I also hung out a lot with Zach (Banner), Keivarae (Russell) and Jeff (Lindquist) and we all just bonded and got to just hang out."

Dean said he currently measures in at 6'5", 275 pounds and that he has chosen to forgo his senior season of basketball to work out and get ready for his upcoming college football career.
