Could things be opening up for Dozier?

With the additions of two of the coaches from Cal that he had formed great relationships with, Lakes (Lakewood, Wa.) ATH Cedric Dozier remains committed to the Golden Bears, however, he said he's open to taking more official visits and the two in-state schools could be on that list...

"Man, with all the changes, I'm still committed to Cal, but I think I'm going to end up taking more of my (official) visits," Dozier told Tuesday afternoon. "I'm looking at probably visiting Washington, Washington State and possibly Vanderbilt, I'm not really sure though."

Dozier has been firmly committed to the Golden Bears for the better part of the last three months, but with Tosh Lupoi and now Eric Kiesau headed north, that seems to have opened his eyes although last night at the King Hoopfest held at Hec Ed he still held firm with his decision.

"Coach Tosh Lupoi, he's been a great part of my recruiting process," Dozier said. "Fortunately for me, I was always told not to commit to a school because of a coach, but he did make a great impact on me going to Cal. I'm not going to lie and say he didn't, but it's a business."

As a senior this past season, Dozier carried the ball 34 times for 291 yards and three touchdowns, hauled in 28 receptions for 479 yards and five more scores and totaled 13 tackles (11 solo) and one interception on the season from his defensive back spot.

We'll have more in the near future as Dozier expects to set up visits with the Huskies and Cougars over the next two weeks.
