"I have been looking at Washington for a long time," Williams told Dawgman.com. "I know a lot of the guys up there on the team -- Shaquille Thompson, Sean Parker, Keith Price, Josh Shirley -- and a bunch of other guys. They all love it up there and I like their offense a lot.
"The way they used Keith Price was really impressive and I feel like their offense fits me perfectly. They have some really talented receivers up there and I really like the coaches a lot."
Washington has already offered as well as Arizona, Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Mississippi, UCLA, Bowling Green, Nevada and SMU.
"Right now I have a lot of great options in front of me and I plan on making my decision before the start of my senior season," Williams said. "I want to unofficially visit a few schools and I'll be visiting Seattle later this month for Washington's spring football game.
"I won't be ready to make my decision for a little while, but I'd say it's for sure I won't wait too long to make it."
As a sophomore in 2010, Williams completed 63% of his passes for 2,597 yards and 23 touchdowns with only nine interceptions and followed that up by completing 62.2% of his passes for 3,247 yards with 34 touchdowns and 11 picks while leading the Gauchos to an 11-3 record.
Williams also rushed for 587 yards and 11 more scores, but he wants to make it clear, he is a passer first, runner second.
"I've always considered myself a quarterback who can run instead of an athlete who plays quarterback," Williams noted. "It's important to me for people to know that I'm a passer first. I'll definitely hurt you with my legs if it's opened up for me, but I wouldn't say I'm a run-first guy at all.
"I would rather keep plays alive with my legs and let my guys get open down the field. That's what is going to win you games."
We will continue to keep track of Williams' progress in the coming weeks and update news as it happens and will definitely follow up with the talented signal-caller after he visits Seattle later this month.
