UW and UCLA lead for Clark

Washington hosted a boatload of talent this week at their Rising Stars camp and one player who has the Huskies very high on his list is Carter (Rialto, Ca.) DT Kenneth Clark. Dawgman.com spoke to the talented defensive line prospect and he updated us on his favorites as well as where things stand in the recruiting process...

Clark has offers from 18 schools including the likes of Arizona State, Boise State, California, Colorado, Miami (Fl), Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State, UCLA, Utah, Washington and Washington State and he said he's started narrow things down a bit.

"Right now I'm favoring Washington, Cal, Nebraska, UCLA and Miami," Clark told Dawgman.com. "If USC decides to offer, then they would be in there too.

"Right now, it's sorta a tie between Washington and UCLA.

"With Washington, I love the coaches and I really had a great time up here at camp. There are a lot of great players up here and some really tough competition.

"UCLA, that's just home. I really like the new coaches there too. It's a great school too."

Clark said he plans to officially visit all of his favorites and then make a decision.

"I'm looking for a school that is going to win and where I feel like the coaches are there to get their players better," Clark said. "Wherever I go, I can get a great education, so I'm really more focused on winning, the program, getting a ring in my time there, all that stuff.

"Washington definitely is on the rise and it was cool to see all of those guys (Demorea Stringfellow, Andrew Basham, Poasi Moala, Caleb Tucker, Elijah Qualls, Daeshon Hall and Lavon Coleman) commit together. I wasn't going to commit, but it was pretty exciting to see and be at least able to witness it."

We will have more from Clark as it gets closer to the start of his senior season.
