Otomewo impressive at Husky camp

A rising star on the safety board so far this summer has been Dorsey (Los Angeles) S Jayme Otomewo. He camped at Washington late last week and had a solid two days in front of the Husky coaches. Dawgman.com caught up with the talented DB shortly after his trip concluded and he updated us on why he came to camp and what his future plans entail...

"I came up hoping to earn an offer from (Washington)," Otomewo told Dawgman.com. "I felt like I had a good camp. I came up for the unofficial visit. It was good. I met a lot of people from different states -- Alaska, Oregon, Idaho -- and it was really good to meet with the coaches too.

"They are a lot like my coaching staff at Dorsey. They are high energy and you sorta feed off of that. It was fun.

"It all comes down to how they evaluate me, but I feel like I did as well as I could so we'll see what happens."

Otomewo currently sports four offers -- Ohio, Arizona State, Colorado and San Jose State -- and he said he plans to take some official visits this fall and won't be making a decision.

"I'm planning to visit Arizona State, Colorado and Oregon," Otomewo said. "I'm looking for a school that can put me in the right position to be the best student-athlete I can be.

"It isn't really a school that has to be close to home. It's more the school and the program and how I feel I fit into things."

Otomewo noted that he plans to make his decision after he takes all of his official visits.
