Ross enjoys unofficial visit to UW

Long Beach (Ca.) Jordan WR John Ross isn't much for talking, preferring to let his play on the field say what needs to be said. However, he was happy to let us know how his second unofficial visit to Washington went this weekend and said he's set up at least one of his official visits...

"It was a lot of fun," Ross said matter-of-factly as he traveled to the airport Sunday afternoon. "The game was great, they got the win, and the stadium was great."

Ross said he spent time with the coaches while he was in town, but not too much as they were coaching the Huskies to a 21-12 win over San Diego State.

"I just went up for the experience," Ross noted. "I spent time with them before the game and talked to them a little bit after the game, but not much time. It was more about just seeing the game experience up close."

Ross has yet to schedule his official visit to Washington, but said he does have one planned to another school he is high on.

"I will visit Oregon on October 6th," Ross said. "The rest of the schools, I still have to work that out."

Ross is a triple-threat for Jordan, posting 56 receptions for 994 yard, carrying the ball 25 times for 227 yards and returned a state leading six kickoffs for touchdowns. From his corner position, Ross had 65 tackles, picked off five passes taking two back for touchdowns and added four sacks as well.

We will have more on Ross in the coming weeks and months as he gets closer to making his decision.
