Commitment Stats - Week #1

Several Husky commits got their senior seasons started last weekend and a couple already have two games under their belt. We take a look at their performances from last week in the first of our "Commitment Stats" updates...

Rancho Verde (Moreno Valley, Ca.) WR Demorea Stringfellow Stringfellow had a huge game to start the season – six receptions for 128 yards and one touchdown – in the Mustangs' season opening loss to Elsinore. He followed that up with a solid performance in week two by posting 12 catches for 130 yards, but his team came up on the short end of the score one again, falling to Heritage 35-13.

Mount Si (Snoqualmie, Wa.) K Cameron Van Winkle - Mount Si rolled to a 30-0 win over Kennedy and Van Winkle had a ho-hum night, going three-for-three with field goals from 40, 38 and 36.

San Clemente (Ca.) OL Sean Harlow - Harlow played in his first game of the season, he missed the Tritons' season opener with a pulled hip flexor, and helped his team roll up over 325 yards as San Clemente scored 30 points in the first half and finished with a 37-6 win over Cabrillo.

Centennial (Peoria, Az.) DE Marcus Farria - Farria is serving a four-game suspension for breaking a team rule, so he didn't contribute to Centennial's 55-0 demolition of Millenium.

Jesuit (Portland, Or) OL Andrew Kirkland - Kirkland and the rest of the Jesuit line led the way to 500 yards of offense, 323 of which came from RB A.J. Glass, as the Crusaders rolled to a 63-21 win.

Lompoc (Ca.) RB Lavon Coleman - Lompoc won their 22nd game in a row and Coleman made the biggest difference scoring on runs of 72 and 41-yards in the second half in leading the Braves to a 14-0 win over Frontier. The talented senior tailback rushed for 216 yards on 24 carries.

Lancaster (Tx.) DE Daeshon Hall - Lancaster handled Nolan Catholic 35-21, but at this point in time, no stats are available for Hall.

Casa Grande (Petaluma, Ca.) DL Elijah Qualls - In the Gauchos' 34-21 win over Heritage, Qualls had a huge game on offense, posting 108 yards rushing on 14 carries with two touchdowns and was solid on defense as well, racking up seven tackles (four solo).

Ouachita Parish (Monroe, La.) LB Caleb Tucker The Lions kicked off their season with a 41-12 win over Wossman and Tucker was a huge contributor on the defensive side of the ball, posting 13 tackles and two sacks.

Rancho Verde (Moreno Valley, Ca.) OL Poasi Moala -The Mustangs are 0-2, but according to reports, Moala has played well. In two games, Rancho Verde has racked up over 600 yards of offense and his play is a prime reason why.

Lynnwood (Wa.) OL/DL Andrew Basham - The Royals began the season with an impressive 26-6 win over Shorecrest, but at this point in time, no stats are available for Basham.

Freedom (Oakley, Ca.) WR Darrell Daniels - The Falcons put one in the ‘W' column on Friday, posting a 41-28 win over Foothill. Daniels contributed heavily, racking up 115 yards and one touchdown on 13 "carries" (some were bubble screens that count as runs) to go along with three receptions for 113 yards and three touchdowns.

Narbonne (Harbor City, Ca.) QB Troy Williams - Williams led the Gauchos to a 41-0 win over Palos Verdes, going 19 of 26 for 230 yards with one touchdown and one interception while rushing for 38 yards and another score.

Santa Margarita (Ca.) LB Connor O'Brien - In two games, the nationally-ranked Eagles are 2-0, with wins over Brophy Prep and Long Beach Jordan. In their game on Friday, the talented linebacker posted six tackles (four solo) to go along with three receptions for 50 yards.

Season Totals: 7 rec., 76 yards; 1 of 1 passing for 41 yards; 10 tackles (6 solo)

Santa Margarita (Ca.) OL Dane Crane- Crane, along with the rest of the offensive line, did their best to pave the way for the Eagles to put up 35 points as well as 360 yards of offense.

Tumwater (Wa.) DL Jaimie Bryant- Tumwater, a 2A school, played up two levels to take on Shelton High School and lost their area matchup 42-21, but at this point in time, no stats are available for Bryant.

Lakes (Lakewood, Wa.) WR Sammie Long - The Lancers, ranked third in the state in the 3A classification, fell to Woodinville, a 4A school, to start the season 31-24. Long had five receptions for 85 yards.

Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, Ca.) CB Kevin King - King had a solid night in O'Dowd's 33-26 win over McClymonds, posting four tackles, one pass defensed and a 10-yard touchdown reception.

Bellevue (Wa.) CB Sean Constantine - The Wolverines got a huge win over Trinity (Euless, Tx.) last Thursday at Seattle's Memorial Stadium in front of over 10,000 fans. Bellevue got a 31-24 win in overtime. Unfortunately, they don't really keep stats, so, at least at this point, no stats for Constantine are available.
