"I had a really great time. It was fun to get over there and see practice and meet with the coaches," Brandt-Sims told Dawgman.com after returning home. "I got to sit down with coach (Steve) Sarkisian and he said they liked me a lot and that I did have an offer from them. He said they were excited to get me over to see practice and to meet with me while I'm on my break."
In addition to spending time with the football coaches, Brandt-Sims, one of the fastest athletes in the country, also met with the track coaches.
"Overall, I just had a great visit and got to see things that I was interested in. I'm glad I made it," he said.
As far as offers, the talented senior-to-be continues to sport seven including the Huskies, Harvard, Arizona State, Colorado State, SMU, Wyoming and Yale.
This weekend he will visit UCLA and this past weekend he took a trip to Idaho.
"I'm just seeing schools and gathering information," Brandt-Sims said. "I will visit schools this summer and then during my season I'll just focus on football and then after my senior season, I'll set up my official visits and then make my decision sometime in January probably."
As far as Washington's place among the other schools that have offered, Brandt-Sims said the Huskies have really impressed him.
"I really don't have a favorite, but Washington has impressed me with how they are recruiting me and their offense," Brandt-Sims said. "I also like the coaches a lot and I feel really comfortable with them.
"They said they like me as an athlete and the fact that the like how they can use me at different positions. They feel like could be a running back and a slot in their system and I think that would be a good fit for me."
Brandt-Sims said he plans to take in Washington's Rising Stars camp in June and also plans to attend Harvard's camp and Idaho's camp as well.
"I might go to a couple of other camps, but right now, those are the ones I'm planning to attend," Brandt-Sims added.
As a junior in 2012, Brandt-Sims earned All-State 4A Running Back honors while rushing for 1,400 yards and 20 touchdowns to go along with 21 receptions for 317 yards and five touchdowns.
