Another great visit to Seattle for Blakley

Washington played host to several top prospects last weekend as they concluded spring practices with the Spring Game at Seattle's Memorial Stadium and one that was in town for the festivities was Coeur d'Alene (Id.) TE Chase Blakley. The talented tight end prospect has been to Seattle several times and he continues to hold the Huskies in high regard following the trip...

"It was a great trip and I'm glad I got to make it out there," Blakley told "My dad and my brother, Drew Berger, both came out with me and we all had a great time there.

"I've been there so many times and I really like the coaches a lot and their offense."

Blakley continues to sport four offers -- Washington, Idaho, Idaho State and Eastern Washington -- but that could change in the next few months as he hits the camp circuit.

"I'm definitely going to Washington's Rising Stars camp and I'll be at the Northwest Elite Camp (June 7th at Mercer Island High School). Those are two that I know for sure I will be at and I'm planning to go to camps at Florida, Michigan and Oklahoma too," Blakley said. "All of the coaches from those schools like me a lot, but they said they want to get me on campus. They want to see how big I am, how I run routes, stuff like that, so my dad and Drew and I will head out for those in June too. It's going to be a busy month."

As a junior in 2012, Blakley hauled in 51 receptions for 598 yards and seven scores, using his outstanding size and soft hands to be a complete mis-match for Vikings opponents.

"I feel like I can get open against anyone and run any route I need to," Blakley said. "I'm a good blocker and this year I am working on my routes to get better at those."

Blakley said he is not close to making a decision, but hopes to have at least narrowed things down this summer so he can focus on his season as well as which schools he wants to officially visit.
