DawgBlog: The Opening, Day Two

BEAVERTON, Ore. - Dawgman.com's Kim Grinolds is on the scene at Nike World Headquarters and The Opening 2013. This combine and camp experience draws some of the best high school prep prospects from around the country to compete in the Great Northwest. Grinolds will be updating us on the prospects Washington is keying in on, including those players that have already made the decision to be Huskies.

Look for updates, including video and pictures, to be posted by Grinolds throughout Monday and Tuesday.

8:00 PM Day Two: HERE is Kim's interview with Washington's newest verbal commitment - Fontana (Calif.) Summit WR Erik Brown.
END OF DAY ONE: HERE are the results from the OFFICIAL SPARQ Rating National Championships this afternoon. Joey Alfieri is a prospect with a current Washington offer.

12 pm – Linemen Only Interview Session (Endzone near Tiger Woods Center)
12:30 pm-6:30 pm (Ronaldo Fields) – Nike 7on7 Pool Play
Afternoon - Interviews will take place for teams when they complete their games (Endzone near Tiger Woods Center)
6:35 PM: Here's Kim's interview with UW Commit Chase Blakley from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

6:30 PM: Couldn't publish the times or marks of the SPARQ event, but Kim did catch up with WR Erik Brown, who was at last week's UW Rising Stars Camp.

9:30 AM: For those looking for the TV times to watch the opening, HERE YOU GO. Kim Grinolds is at Nike HQ right now and the 7-On teams are just warming up for the SPARQ testing that will soon take place. SPARQ is Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, and Quickness. They'll be tested on the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, power ball toss, vertical jump, and other events. That will be a lot of the first day's events.
