Husky Commit Updates - Week 2

Last week, Eastlake (Sammamish, Wa.) LB Drew Lewis, playing both ways for the Wolves, was the primary reason his team was able to blow out a very talented opponent. Here's a look at how he and the other seven pledges did last week as well as how they have performed so far this season...

Eastlake (Sammamish, Wa.) LB Drew Lewis - The Wolves boat-raced Lakes by a score of 41-7, including a 27-point second quarter, to get off to a 1-0 start on the season. Lewis was a big reason why, posting 64 yards rushing on nine carries and hauling in three passes for 100 yards, including one catch-and-run for a 69-yard touchdown. On defense he totaled six tackles, one tackle-for-loss and a forced fumble before taking the second half off.

Coeur d'Alene (Id.) TE Chase Blakley - The Vikings lost a thriller to Bothell in the Emerald City Kickoff Classic at Husky Stadium last Saturday 44-43. Blakley had a solid evening on both sides of the ball, hauling in seven receptions for 98 yards and two touchdowns and also posting six tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in the loss.

Coeur d'Alene (Id.) OT Matt James - James and the rest of the offensive line paved the way for 436 yards of offense, including 169 on the ground, but the Vikings still lost to Bothell 44-43.

McClymonds (Oakland, Ca.) DB Lavon Washington - The Warriors blew past Ferndale (Ca.) 40-7, scoring a majority of their points in the first half. Washington had a solid night, but didn't put up big numbers as the starters didn't play much of the second half, but he still finished with four receptions for 75 yards and three tackles with two passes defensed on defense

Season Stats: 8 tackles, 2 PBU, 1 INT; 11 rec., 200 yards, 2 TDs

Cabrillo (Long Beach, Ca.) WR Rahshead Johnson - Johnson and his Cabrillo teammates fell to 0-2 on the season with a 35-32 loss to a talented San Clemente (Ca.) squad. Johnson hauled in eight receptions for 156 yards and a touchdown from his receiver spot and had six tackles (four solo) on defense.

Summit (Fontana, Ca.) WR Erik Brown - Summit got blown out by Redlands (Ca.) East Valley 50-0 and Brown struggled, along with the rest of the Sky Hawks' offense as he had six carries for three yards and didn't have a reception on offense. He also did not post any stats on defense.
