Greene Adds Name To UW Commit List

The only official visitor at Washington this past weekend was former Boise State verbal Jalen Greene, a quarterback from Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, Cal. He made his decision before he even visited, but made things public via twitter on Monday afternoon...

"Tried to keep it silent but God works in mysterious ways and now I will be a Husky this spring," Greene said via Twitter.

Greene had been committed to Petersen and his staff while they were at Boise State and became the second public commit to the new Husky head coach, joining Cabrillo (Long Beach, Ca.) DB Darren Gardenhire who committed earlier today.

In addition to his offer from the Dawgs and Boise State, Greene also had offers from Colorado and Fresno State.

Greene led his team to the CIF State Finals, where they lost to Chaminade 38-35, by completing nearly 59% of his passes for 2,544 yards with 33 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also rushed for 1,209 yards and 14 touchdowns.

We will have more on this breaking story after we reach Greene for his thoughts.
