Talented WR Adds Name To Husky Commit List

As one of the top wideouts left on Washington's board, Junipero Serra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Ca.) WR Dante Pettis was a target they went after hard. This past weekend, he visited Seattle and after thinking about things for a few days and meeting with the coaches again, he decided he wanted to commit to Washington and become a Husky...

"I have committed to The University of Washington!!!!! #GoDawgs," was his message on his twitter page.

As a senior this season, Pettis helped lead his team to a 7-3 record by hauling in 50 receptions for 889 yards and 11 touchdowns on offense while totaling 35 tackles and an interception on defense.

He becomes the fifth prospect who visited this past weekend to commit to the Huskies, joining La Habra (Ca.) DT Greg Gaines, Edison (Huntington Beach, Ca.) OL Jesse Sosebee, American Canyon (Ca.) RB Jomon Dotson and Bellarmine College Prep (San Jose, Ca.) QB K.J. Carta-Samuels who committed earlier in the week.

We will have more from Pettis as soon as we are able to reach him to get his thoughts on his decision.
