"I really think coach Petersen is ready to do big things," Lewis told Cherrington. "The coaching staff was what really broke the barrier for me. Coach P is about to change the game and I'm excited to be apart of it. And go Dawgs!"
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Lewis is being recruited to play linebacker for Washington. He originally committed to the Huskies after getting an offer during their Rising Stars camp, but then opened up the process when then-UW Head Coach Steve Sarkisian left to take the same job at USC.
Lewis took an official visit to USC the weekend of January 17th, but left Los Angeles without a scholarship offer. He then officially visited Washington the following weekend, and a week later re-committed to the Dawgs.
Lewis is the 18th known public commitment for Washington under new Head Coach Chris Petersen.
