Miller Excited About Offer From UW

Oceanside (Ca.) CB Jordan Miller says that he wants to get up to Seattle to check out Washington now that the Huskies have extended him an offer...

"They saw me earlier this week at practice and then they sent down the DB coach (Jimmy Lake) to take a look at me and about an hour ago, he offered me," a happy Miller told "It was great. I'm really excited by it.

"I know they are a great program and the coaches there are top-notch. I also know they have really good academics up there too."

The other two schools to extend offers Miller's way are Utah and Weber State and he noted that the reason he might not have seen much in the way of offers, that has a lot to do with the fact that Oceanside's secondary was loaded with talent last season.

"We had two big-time corners, so I didn't play much last year," Miller noted. "I have the three offers and then I have been talking a lot with Washington State, Boise State, California, San Jose State and San Diego State."

While Miller talked about his desire to visit Seattle before the start of his season, he did say that if he doesn't make it up for the Rising Stars camp, he may still take in one of their satellite camps during June.

"I definitely want to get up there to see the school and compete in camp, but if I don't make it up there, I can hit on of their three camps down here (one in south Orange County, one in the Inland Empire and another up in the Bay Area)," Miller said.

As far as a timeline, Miller said he'd prefer to take all of his visits and then decide after his senior season, but he will take a long look at which programs have offered by the end of the summer to see how long he will wait.

"I want to see which other schools decide to offer and who wants to recruit me and I'll do that this summer," Miller said.
