Miles, who missed all of spring while being suspended for an off-field altercation after the Super Bowl win by the Seattle Seahawks, was re-instated to the team this summer, but there was still the assumption that he would miss at least one game as punishment.
Petersen, who is in Los Angeles for the Pac 12 Media Day, confirmed with multiple sources that Miles would be suspended for the Hawaii game on August 30th, but would be available for the Eastern Washington game the following week.
As the backup to Keith Price last season, Miles led the Dawgs to a win over Oregon State in his only start while managing to complete 60.7% of his passes for 418 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions while also rushing for 200 more yards on the season.
In Miles' absence, third-year sophomore Jeff Lindquist and redshirt freshman Troy Williams got all of the reps this spring and both will battle it out during camp for the right to start against the Warriors.
