Roberts Names Final Three, Commitment Date

Bellevue (Wa.) OT Henry Roberts, widely considered the top player in the state, told that he plans to make his decision at a team event on August 28th and that he has narrowed things down to a final three...

"We have something called Junior Wolverine Day where all of the kids from the within the program, all of the junior football teams, the freshmen, the junior varsity and our varsity all come together and work out on the field together and then we have a big even right after that where we just all spend time together and that's when I'm going to announce where I'm going," Roberts told "I'm probably doing it on KING 5 (Seattle's local NBC affiliate) like Buddah (Baker) did and it's something that I can share with my whole Bellevue family."

With a date in mind, Roberts said he's narrowed things down to Washington, USC and Stanford and he gave us an idea of why each made it as his three finalists.

USC - "Playing in Southern California would be great. They have a great program there and I think you could definitely set yourself up after school with the amazing connections you can make there."

Stanford - "When you think of Stanford, you automatically think offensive line. They've produced so many great linemen lately. The people there are really great and the education is top notch."

Washington - "It's the local school and it's a really good program. I also just love the coaches there. They new staff is great and I feel really comfortable there."

Roberts and his team kick off their against nationally ranked Serra (Gardena, Ca.) on the road September 6th.
