Where Do Huskies Stand For Davis?

This weekend, Bishop Alemany (Mission Hills, Ca.) ATH Dominic Davis took a trip up to the Puget Sound region to play a game and then take a visit to Husky Stadium with his teammates. Here's an update on what he thought of things as well as where things stand on the recruiting front...

"I've actually never been up (to Seattle) before and I really like it," Davis told Dawgman.com. "We came up here to take care of a business (a 31-14 win over Eastside Catholic), but it's also cool because I got to go to Washington's game against Eastern Washington.

"It's cool. I liked the atmosphere and the stadium and (former Alemany QB) Vernon Adams was on all day. It was a good game."

Davis had a huge game, scoring his team's final three touchdowns (1, 23, 2) and amassing a career-high 183 yards on 25 carries.

"They are a good team. There are some big dudes on that team," Davis said with raised eyebrows. "I definitely underestimated them. They gave us a great game and I didn't think they'd be as good as they were. I have got a lot of respect for them and the football they play (in Washington)."

On the recruiting trail, Davis says he remains committed to Washington State, but that he's definitely keeping his eyes and his options open.

"I'm committed to them right now, but I definitely am planning to take all of my visits," Davis said. "I'm visiting Washington State when they play USC (November 1st) and I am going to visit Washington, USC and UCLA for sure, but I just haven't set those up yet, but I'm talking about it.

"Then for my fifth one, I'm leaving that one open because I want to save one for a school that I might want to see and it might be tough to get to."

Davis said pretty much every school recruiting him likes him as a receiver out of the slot and he's find with that.

"I just like to play so wherever a staff says I fit the best, then that's where I'll play," Davis noted. "I'm committed (to WSU) for now, but you never know what's going to happen, so I'm just keeping things open."

Davis and his Warriors teammates take on Narbonne this coming Friday.
