"It was crazy in there," Rice told Dawgman.com about his experience inside Husky Stadium as Washington took on Stanford. "The fans are really into the game. They are die hard fans. I loved the experience."
Rice's host on his trip was freshman DL Vita Vea and that two just spent a lot of time hanging out and getting to know each other better.
"He's a good guy. I really liked him," Rice said. "It was cool because no one really put pressure on me to commit. He was really laid back. He just told me why he chose to go there and what it is like as a player there."
One thing working against Washington is the distance from his family.
"I want to play close to home so my family can see me, but it's not really the deciding factor for me," Rice said. "It's about the fit and where I can see myself fitting in best and also where I feel I can be the best player I can be.
"I like the (Washington) staff a lot. The coaches are great. Coach (Chris) Petersen is a great man and a great coach. He's had success everywhere he's been. He's smart and I really trust him."
Rice has noted he'd like to decide by the end of October, but has not set a firm date for when he'd like to make his commitment to a school.
We will have more on Rice as he gets closer to his decision and we will update news on him as it breaks.
