Texas DE Prospect Says He's Committed To UW

George Bush (Richmond, Tx.) DE/LB Myles Rice announced on his Twitter account this morning that he has committed to Washington...

"Blessed to say that I am now committed to play college football at the University of Washington #Blessed #Udub," was the tweet Rice sent out a little after 7:30 am (PST) this morning.

Rice visited Washington this past weekend and he was expected to meet with Husky defensive line coach Jeff Choate at his school this morning.

Rice currently holds offers from Washington as well as Houston, his hometown school, Louisiana Tech and Utah State and he had been hearing from several other schools including Colorado, Utah, Texas Tech and Arizona.

"Coach Choate was ecstatic. He was really happy to get me into the class," Rice told Dawgman.com. "It was just the right fit. When you look at all of the opportunities there and the coaching staff and what that school has to offer, it was just the right fit."

Rice leads his team with eight sacks and has also posted over 40 tackles.
