Rapp Very Excited By Husky Offer

While the Husky coaches are still focused on closing out the 2015 recruiting class, they are also being very aggressive in sending out offers to the 2016 class. The latest in-state junior to receive an offer is 2016 Sehome (Bellingham, Wa.) S Taylor Rapp and he talked with Dawgman.com about where things stand on the recruiting front including his feeling about getting an offer from the Dawgs...

"(Washington) offered (Sunday) afternoon," Rapp told Dawgman.com. "I've been in contact with Washington for awhile now; since their camp in the summer. The interest has just been rising and rising from them.

"Last week I talked to Coach (Chris) Peterson on the phone and he wanted my parents and I to come down to (Montlake) on Sunday and sit down to talk with him.

"I had a pretty good idea that they were going to offer since I've visited already and met and talked to all the coaches."

And his feelings about getting the offer?

"It was a great feeling. To get my first major offer, it's a dream come true," Rapp said.

In addition to his offer from the Dawgs, Rapp also has an offer from Montana State, but he is also hearing quite a bit from schools like Boise State, Oregon State, Oregon, USC, Arizona, Arizona State and Northwestern.

Rapp said while he and his family were "very, very excited" about the offer, he isn't close to making a decision.

"Like I said I had a pretty good idea that they were going to offer," Rapp said. "I am just taking things one step at a time, very slowly, so I know I make the right decision where to go."

Rapp is a two-way star for Sehome and he currently leads his team with 51 tackles and one interception and he has also rushed for 538 yards and also 20 receptions for 278 receiving yards and he's totaled eight touchdowns (five rushing and three receiving).

As a junior, the 6'0, 200-pounder, posted 1,147 all-purpose yards with nine touchdowns and on defense he racked up 112 tackles and three interceptions.
