Trip Report - Ezekiel Turner

Washington is looking to add some size to their secondary and this weekend, L.A. Pierce S Ezekiel Turner took a trip to Montlake and came away impressed with what he saw...

"Oh man, it was a great visit," Turner told as he awaited his flight home at Sea-Tac Airport. "It was just outstanding there. I loved every bit of it."

Turner's host on his visit was freshman corner Sidney Jones and the two talked a lot about what it was like to be a Husky.

"He loves it there and he said he can see how much he's improved since he got there to where he his now," Turner said. "He's the same age as me, so it was really cool getting a feel for how he felt about the program and the coaches."

While claiming everything about his trip to the Emerald City was outstanding, Turner did say that one aspect stood out above the others.

"Their facilities are top of the line and that's important, but I think what really stood out to me was their academics and coach Pete's (Chris Petersen) 'Built for Life' philosophy," Turner said. "He's been a really successful coach and he wants his players to be successful on the field and off of it and as they go forward with the rest of their lives.

"To me, that was the most impressive thing."

While Turner came away impressed with everything regarding the Husky football program, his parents were unable to join him, so Husky defensive backs coach Jimmy Lake will make the trip to Maryland this week to meet with them in person so that he can answer any questions they have.

"Unfortunately, my parents couldn't make it out, so coach Lake is going to meet with them," Turner said. "I think they just want to meet him and see what he's like."

Turner said his plans to visit Arizona State this weekend are still up in the air and that he will make a decision whether he will take his visit or not later this week.
