Jahmel Taylor to Transfer

SEATTLE – University of Washington head coach Lorenzo Romar has announced that sophomore guard Jahmel Taylor (Los Angeles, Calif./Pacific Hills) will transfer from the school.

“Jahmel’s upstanding character and role on this team has been an asset to our program,” said Romar. “He has been a great teammate for the last year and a half and we’ve enjoyed coaching him. We will assist him in any way that we can as he looks for a new school and we wish Jahmel the best in the future.”

Taylor, who played in 20 career games for the Huskies, has been given a full release and can start looking for a new school immediately. He averaged 1.3 points and 0.3 rebounds per game while playing in 3.7 minutes.
