Trip Report - Henry Roberts

Bellevue (Wa.) OL Henry Roberts has been to Montlake so many times over the past couple of years that nothing during his official visit really stood out, but that didn't stop the Army All-American from having a great time with his future teammates...

"It was an outstanding visit. I had a great time," Roberts told "We had a lot of fun there. I had already been up there so many times, nothing was really new, but they showed us a great time and I can't wait to get my career started there."

Roberts' hosts were his former Bellevue teammate, Michael Kneip, and fellow 2015 classmate, Jake Browning, who is already on campus and taking part in the Husky offseason program.

"I've known those guys for a while and I'm pretty close with Jake already," Roberts said. "We've all bonded pretty well (in the 2015 class), I came over when Trey (Adams) had his visit and met with him and coach (Chris) Strausser, so we've already formed really good relationships.

"Jake loves it there and he's really excited about the staff there and where things are headed."

Roberts played his senior year at right around 260 pounds, but he's put on over 20 pounds of muscle and this weekend he weighed in at 283 pounds on his 6'5" frame.

"I've just been lifting and running and getting myself ready," Roberts said. "Coach Strausser said he just wants me to be able to run, so I can't get too big, but I'm planning to come in around 290 pounds by the time I get there (in July).

"Coach Strausser said they are thinking tackle for me to start out at, but I'm willing to play anywhere -- guard, tackle, nose tackle, wide receiver -- I really don't care. I just want to play and help my team anyway that I can."

Roberts plans to sign with the rest of his teammates that will sign with four-year schools at his school on Wednesday.
